It’s been a long time since I’ve been fishing. My dad used to take my brothers and I as kids. I remember thermoses of hot chocolate and lemon poppyseed muffins. I’m sure the snacks were a good distraction for food-driven children on long trips. I also remember being very afraid of touching the fish gills but not afraid of sticking the worm on the hook (not appealing now). And that excitement from a little tug on the line could get anyone hooked.
When Matt asked for my help with a logo I was immediately excited to draw a fish (and luckily he was cool with me hand-drawing a fish). I’m in love with how the mark turned out. The coloring might be a bit complicated for some applications, but the detail in the fish plays nicely with the big bold type.
